Volume 2 Issue 1 This 6-page fold-out Study Guide provides an outstanding overview of Harlem's history and is the perfect tool to introduce students to the Apollo Theater and its well-known traditions. Students learn the story of the Tree of Hope, take a sneak peek behind-the-scenes of Amateur Night and meet an Apollo Star of Tomorrow. The Guide also features vocabulary words, puzzles and games as well as resources for further exploring local landmarks.

Volume 1 Issue 4 This 2-page Study Guide introduces students to many legendary dancers that have tapped across the Apollo’s stage. The Guide also includes resources for exploring more about tap dance as well as a research activity, vocabulary words and a puzzle.

Volume 1 Issue 2 This 6-page fold out Study Guide features articles about the development of Jazz in the 1920’s and 30’s, the popularity of Jazz in Europe, Latin Jazz, and profiles artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Mary Lou Williams, and Ella Fitzgerald.
